The Beaufort School Community and representatives from the Secondary College were invited to join us in our Anzac ceremony. The Honourable Louise Staley, Member for Ripon, also attended. She unfurled our new flagpole and joined our student representatives in planting our Gallipoli Oak Tree. She also spoke briefly to our students. A former student of Beaufort Primary School, who visited Gallipoli in 2014, spoke about the visit and what it meant to her. The RSL representative spoke to the students about Anzac Day and why we celebrate it. We played a recording of the Last Post, had a period of silence, then played the Reveille. Following that, we sung the first verse of our National Anthem. Morning Tea was provided for all in attendance.
