RSL Sub-branches

Register an RSL Sub-branch

RSL Sub-Branches who have registered will be contacted in the lead up to the ANZAC Centenary to coordinate with primary schools to organise local planting ceremonies.

We hope Sub-branches will work with primary schools in their area to organise planting ceremonies that students, school communities and RSL Sub-branches can participate in together. The National Trust has prepared a sample Order of Service you might like to use to help plan a commemorative ceremony: click here to view (opens in a new tab)

When will planting ceremonies take place?

Planting ceremonies to commemorate the ANZAC Centenary will take place from 2015 onwards. Primary schools and RSL Sub-branches will collaborate to identify suitable dates for planting ceremonies to occur.

The availability of trees may need to be considered when planning your events. The National Trust will be able to advise you about the availability of trees. Once you have identified your preferred date, the National Trust will contact you to make arrangements to collect & distribute trees for schools in your district.
